It’s not the time that does the healing…

They say that “time heals all wounds,” but that’s not quite right. Emotional wounds are like physical ones: In order to repair them, they require constant attention. For our bodies, this might mean increased blood flow to the wound site in order to deliver valuable nutrients and cells for healing. Emotional wounds need the same response to heal — introspection, feedback and action — or else every time you touch the injury, it will be as fresh as the day you received it…regardless of how much time has past.
